-REGISTER WITH COMMERCIAL INTERNATIONAL SERVICES LLC (CIS)
If previously registered with CIS, you already have USERNAME and PASSWORD for your account and it is not necessary to register again. New registrations must click on CUSTOMER REGISTRATION FORM, complete registration application. You will receive an email with your USERNAME/PASSWORD.
-PREPAYMENT OF ECTN
In order to avoid processing delays it is recommended that customers remit a deposit for the ECTN.
-APPLY FOR A NEW ECTN
Login ECTN system from the link provided to you in the registration email you will receive from CIS. That email will include your username/password. After you have logged in, click the link on the left “add new ECTN”.
-COMPLETE ONLINE ECTN FORM
Complete all items in the online form, email us at firstname.lastname@example.org and provide your customer number and reference # of your draft form. This will be your pre-validation request and you will be invoiced by CIS.
-PRE-VALIDATION APPROVED & PAYMENT APPLIED
Upon our receipt of your pre-validation request, you will receive an invoice from CIS showing a balance due or a zero balance due if you had submitted a prepayment. Your payment will be applied to ECTN upon approval of pre-validation.
NOTE: If you have not supplied a prepayment to CIS, your payment of our invoice may take up to 3-4 business days to be applied to your ECTN. This possible delay is out of CIS control.
-SUBMIT FINAL INFORMATION FOR VALIDATION
Login to your account and insure that all information on your pre-validated form is completed and final. Click the validation button at the bottom. CIS will then validate your request and you will be able to print/save the ECTN certificate from the online system.
Payment for the ECTN must be received within five working days after you have submitted the pre-validation, meaning that you having selected the pre-validation button. If the payment is not received within the five working days the system may cancel the ECTN application and credits lost. All inserted data will be cancelled and disappear from the system and the receivers will be unable to present a valid ECTN to destination authorities.
